    A few weeks ago someone (sorry I have been unable to backtrack in the forum to find you) posted about disposing of surplus blood glucose meters. One solution is to contact Insulin for Life (insulinforlife.org.au), a not-for-profit that distributes surplus diabetic supplies to diabetics in developing countries. 

    They need BG meters, BG test strips and ketone test strips, and insulin.

    They do NOT need syringes, pen needles or lancets as they are currently very well stocked.

    They have tight criteria regarding the age, expiry dates and unused, unopened materials, so please contact them via their website before forwarding any materials.

    This is a worthy cause to help fellow diabetics with the secondary advantage of helping a little with our 'diabetic waste'.
