  • 1.  Guardian 4 - Sensor failure

    Hi everyone, 

    Like everyone, I adore Guardian 4 andthe new pump software. But I'm on my second box of sensors from two different suppliers and every single sensor has failed before a week is up. Is anyone else finding this? Or have I just been unlucky?

    I am in metropolitan Sydney.I have only used Guardian 4 for 3 months - 1 failure likely my fault, 1 that only lasted 5 days but no other issues

    Hi Lisa,

    I have been using G4 since May. No failures apart from one that got displaced while gardening.

    I have had G4 for a few months and was getting usually 5 to 7 days - mentioned it to Metronics rep and it was suggested to try putting it on my thigh - have done for 2 weeks and both lasted the full 7 days. So it is the thigh area now for me.

    I always use my thigh. It works fab mostly. Occasional bleeder.

    Hi Lisa,

    absolutely - I love the Guardian 4 but in the past  3 weeks I have had 3 fail after 3-4 days.  Medtronic sent me replacements and  so far so good. Can't explain why?

    Yes, I've found the same. Sensors continue to fail after 5 days. Replacements sensors taking forever to arrive as well
