Hi Catherine,
I can share my experiences and frustrations with site issues.
It use to be one of my biggest problems over many years. I initially made a step forward by using new sites on my hip/lower back however then was given advice from my DE to change to a 9mm flexible cannula vs 6mm metal cannula. This has been a game changer to the point where I am now back using my belly (where I used a pen/syringe etc for 30 years).
I can still get unexpected highs after a set change and start to question the new set however this is now a rare event for me.
Can relate to your woes as there's nothing worse when you are unsure whether it's your set or other factors impacting on your BSL's.
Good luck with overcoming the challenges this presents

Subject: New site woes
Hi Guys and Gals.
my troubles aren't with the alarms but with new site issues.
I only change once a week. I've always done this.
the main reason is that I have to set this day aside. No work. No social activities.
Because it either works straight away or causes me 4-5 hours of grief.
Some of them just don't work. But you don't know for hours whether they wil eventually catch on. Especially when they only go up point by point. Like yesterday. Eventually I changed it to another. That one took 2 hours to kick in. Then I'm right as rain for the next week.
I've looked at all usual things. The hardening of skin etc. but this happens when I. In a totally new spot too. I wondered if anyone has some tips.
I bolus with the old good set before I put in the new set.
Any tips please would be helpful
