I am 72 years old, and I was diagnosed with type 2 in October 2014. I eat a pretty well balanced diet, although I could possibly do with losing about 10kg. I eat almost no processed food, and have loads fresh fruit and vegetables. However, unless I eat a sweet dessert (such as banana), I feel in desperate need of sugar after my main meal of the day. So I often have three liquorice allsorts. Is my body trying to tell me something?
