When I'm feeling a bit empty, and really need a snack to get through to the next meal, I generally reach for a small handful of nuts.

    But not just any nuts......
I make up a mixture of low carb unsalted Walnuts, Almonds, Macadamea and Pecans.

I also keep a serving in the car, in a ziplock bag, if I'm out and about.

i find that a small serving is very filling, nutritious, and could  even help skip a meal, and keep my BGL's lower for longer.

    cheers,
    Greg

One nut stands head and shoulders over the rest
One nut stands head and shoulders over the rest when it comes to brain and heart health. Eating nuts is linked to a lower risk of heart disease, although there is some dispute over which nut is best. The two nuts battling it out for top spot are pecans and walnuts.
