We are looking forward to bringing you this brand-new series, which is free for all members - DA Presents ... there will be 6 of these exclusive online webinar events over the year.
Our first keynote speaker for this series is multi-award winning producer, broadcaster and investigative journalist, Dr. Norman Swan AM. Dr. Swan trained in medicine and paediatrics in Aberdeen, London and Sydney before joining the ABC. He hosts Radio National's Health Report and during the COVID-19 pandemic co-hosted Coronacast, a podcast on the coronavirus. Dr. Swan is also a reporter and commentator on the ABC's 7.30, Midday, News Breakfast and Four Corners, and a guest host on RN Breakfast.
Dr. Swan has won several Walkleys, including a Gold Walkely, for excellence in journalism, a Media Peace Award from the United Nations Association of Australia and the highest honour in Australian Science Journalism, the Michael Daley Award.
Dr. Swan has been awarded the medal of the Australian Academy of Science and an honorary MD from the University of Sydney. His books, So You Think You Know What's Good For You is a best seller and So You Want To Live Younger Longer have both been on the best seller list.
