Unfortunately many with diabetes suffer with other issues-cardiovascular, neuropathy etc. and some insurers are reluctant to cover multiple conditions, particularly as you get older.
I, as a 71 year old male, have been able to get cover with Insure and Go, albeit at a hefty premium.

Earlier this year I took out annual travel insurance with N IB. It wasn't cheap but Diabetes is included in a list of existing conditions which are covered.
