Thanks so Much to everyone who contributed some great suggestions ! ALL Helpful !
Brian, John, Petra, Karen, Miriam and all, it echoed what my research told me about Magnesium,
and I was taking the tablets last year, but will re-introduce them now to my daily meds intake. I will also try the Karma Rub. thanks Petra. Brian I am 76 so hopefully will have good results with Magnesium. ( I bet you enjoy your Swims!)
Thanks again for your great advice. Cheers Geoff

I've suffered most of my life with cramps and in the old days Quinine was the answer; now it is not recommended due to side effects. Tonic water has a small amount of Quinine in it, that may work for you by drinking copious amounts. All Internet research recommends stretching etc. and for me that seems impossible. Ice helps. Currently I've learned that apple-cider-vinegar helps; I put it into a spray bottle, get in the shower, spray and rub it in, morning and night to start with and it doesn't take too long to dry off, smells a bit though. I find some wines and food can cause cramps, but can't find any info on the Internet. This website may be useful <<https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/14170-leg-cramps>>.

Can anyone relate to having painful cramps in Calf Muscles ?
Is this a side effect of Diabetes 2 Medication, or Peripheral Neuropathy ? Or age related ?
Any comments appreciated ! Cheers, Geoff
