Hi Catherine,
Yes I do have Carelink, but I received no notification prior to the update. I was just bluntly told when I rang up that I shouldn't have my phone on auto-update. Given the recent security breaches here, I am not prepared to wait for someone else's permission to update my phone. I've had the device for about 3 years now, and the app has survived all updates up until now with no problem. All of a sudden it is. Do they expect everyone to wait until they let them know it was okay to update, every single time? It has survived two phones, a Galaxy S10 and now a Galaxy S22 without difficulties. Hoping there is a resolution on the way sooner rather than later.

Hi Lisa. Have you got Carelink? They were warning us not to update till Medtronic fixed the problem. But I thought they had fixed it.
I don't update. I used to occasionally. Once I lost my entire calendar on the phone. So don't update now. Also I write everything in paper as backup.
At least your name is original. I've just called mine Pumpy. Lol.

Subject: Medtronics update
Two weeks ago my phone did an update - it was a big Android system update. After that my Guardian Connect would not work. I kept getting a message that it was no longer compatible with my phone. I rang Medtronics, they were aware of the problem and were working on a solution. I was told to not allow aut-updates on my phone. Say what? There have been probably 50 updates over the last 3 years and there hasn't been a problem, now I'm expected to turn off updates until Medtronics tells me it's okay? I don't think so. Given all the security issues lately, I want my phone as up to date as possible. I still haven't heard any more from Medtronics. Apparently they will send out an email when it is fixed. Meanwhile I am running into problems with unexpected hypos. I no longer have "Wilbur" to yell at me to fix a falling level. I miss Wilbur terribly. Does anyone have any inside info that might help?
