    Hi all

I've had T2D for about years.

During this time it's been a up and down journey trying to manage the condition. I had a stroke and sleep apnoea compounded by been 10kilo overweight.

Currently health is good with weight at a good level kept by better eating and exercise. This has all come about by leaning what is good or bad for your T2D management. My doctor reduced my medication and said I'm in remission - you beauty!

I will state original info in the beginning was off the mark for example carbs, low sugar drinks and fat reduced foods - big mistake following those guidelines or believing they were not harmful to T2D conditions.

My condition is managed by keeping it simple by listening to experts like - Diabetes Australia Community Forum including reading books, magazines and how other people dealt with the condition.

There are days when things are hard to manage just take little steps and keep going.

Hope my experience with living with T2D gives others are feeling their not alone.

    Yes its tough!

One question - How does Sleep Abnoea effect T2D suffers?

I had sleep apnea for several years & being in a wheelchair, not much exercise. My Dr said that that was the reason why I have T2.
