1. Promoter & these terms and conditions 

(a) Information on how to enter and the Prize form part of these terms and conditions. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Entries must comply with these terms and conditions to be valid. 

(b) The Promoter is Diabetes Australia (ABN 47 008 528 461) of Ground Floor 19-23 Moore Street, Turner ACT 2612. To contact the Promoter, please contact younited@diabetesaustralia.com.au or telephone our customer service line on 1800 177 055. 

2. Starting and Closing Date 

The Competition commences at 9:00am AEST on Tuesday, 18 August 2026 and closes at 11:59pm AEST on Friday,18 September 2026 (Competition Period). 

3. Eligibility to enter 

(a) Entry is open to residents of Australia who are aged 18 years or over (Eligible Entrants). 

(b) Directors, management, employees and their immediate families of the Promoter, ambassadors, retailers, suppliers, associated entities and agencies associated with this Competition are ineligible to enter. 

4. How to enter 

(a) To enter, Eligible Entrants must, either: during the Competition Period, download and use the new DA YOUnited app OR have previously downloaded the app and login and use the app during the Competition Period. Apps are available for download for iOS and Android phones from their respective app stores. 

(b) Entry is automatic upon successful completion of download and use of DA YOUnited during the Competition Period. 

(c) Entry is open to all Eligible Entrants who download and use DA YOUnited during the Competition Period. 

(d) Only one (1) entry per Eligible Entrant is permitted. 

(e) Entry is free. No purchase is required to enter. DA YOUnited is free for all current members to download. 

(f) Incomplete, illegible, invalid or duplicate entries may be deemed invalid at the Promoter’s discretion. 

(g) Entries are deemed received at the time of receipt by Diabetes Australia, not at the time of transmission by the Eligible Entrant. 

5. Prize 

(a) There is one (1) prize to be won. 

(b) The prize consists of a months worth of ready made meals from our partner, Youfoodz. Delivered direct to the prize winners place of residence.  

(c) The total prize pool value is $200.00 AUD inclusive of GST.

(d) Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. 

(e) To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible or liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered by a Winner arising from, or in connection with, acceptance or use of the Prize. 

(f) The Promoter is not liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered as a result of the Winner accepting or using the Prize, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law. 

6. Draw date and time 

(a) The draw will take place Monday, 21 September at Diabetes Australia, Level 3, 18 Little Cribb St, Milton QLD 4064 (Draw Date). 

(b) All valid entries received during the Competition Period will be included in the draw. 

(c) One (1) winner will be drawn at random from all valid entries. 

(d) Winning is not contingent on being present at the draw. 

7. Notification & distribution 

(a) Winners will be notified by phone and/or email within five (5) business days of the Draw Date. 

(b) The winner’s first name and state/territory may be published on the Promoter’s website, membership forum, social media channels or other Diabetes Australia communication channels. 

(c) The Promoter will make reasonable efforts to contact the Winner. If the Winner cannot be identified, located, rejects the Prize or does not respond to the Promoter within fourteen (14) days of notification, the Prize will be deemed forfeited by that Winner and the Promoter reserves the right to conduct a redraw to select a new Winner. 

(d) Prizes will be sent to the winners place of residence. 

(e) The Promoter accepts no responsibility for prizes that are lost, delayed or damaged in transit. 

(f) To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter assumes no responsibility for any failure to receive an entry, or for inaccurate information, or for any loss, damage or injury as a result of technical or telecommunications problems, including security breaches. If such problems arise, the Promoter may modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the Competition, subject to any applicable regulatory requirements. 

8. Use of personal information 

(a) Personal information including the Eligible Entrant’s name, address, telephone number and email, will be collected and used for the purpose of conducting this Competition. This may require disclosure to third parties, including local regulatory authorities and the Promoter’s agents or third-party service providers, for the purpose of conducting the Competition, or for promotional and marketing purposes, including direct marketing (Purpose). 

(b) By entering this Competition, Eligible Entrants consent to the use of their personal information for the Purpose, and that the Promoter may contact them for future marketing and material purposes without payment. Eligible Entrants agree that the Promoter may use this information for that purpose. 

(c) Eligible Entrants may access, change or update their personal information by emailing the Promoter on younited@diabetesaustralia.com.au or by telephone at 1800 177 055 during office hours. A copy of the Promoter’s privacy policy is available at www.diabetesaustralia.com.au/privacy-policy/. The privacy policy contains information about how individuals may access or correct personal information or make a privacy-related complaint. 

9. Intellectual Property 

(a) No skill-based written or creative entry is required for this Competition. 

(b) To the extent an Eligible Entrant provides any content to the Promoter in connection with the Competition, the Eligible Entrant licenses the Promoter to use that content in any way the Promoter wishes, including modifying, adapting, copying, publishing, broadcasting or communicating the content whether in original or modified form in whole or in part, in all media in perpetuity without payment to the Eligible Entrant of royalties or compensation. 

(c) Eligible Entrants warrant that any content they provide to the Promoter in connection with the Competition is not in breach of any third-party intellectual property rights. 

10. Publicity 

Eligible Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, suburb, state, likeness, image or voice, or a combination of these, in the event that they are a Winner, in any media for a period of six months without remuneration or compensation for the purpose of promoting this Competition, including any outcome, and/or promoting any products manufactured, distributed or supplied by the Promoter. 

11. Governing law 

These terms and conditions, the trade promotion and any claim or dispute between the Promoter and an Entrant are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Entrants submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of courts and tribunals of that State in connection with any dispute concerning these terms and conditions or the Competition. 

The Competition will be conducted in accordance with all applicable Commonwealth, state and territory laws. To the extent that any mandatory law of an entrant’s state or territory of residence applies to the Competition, these terms and conditions are subject to that law. 

12. General provisions 

(a) The Promoter’s decision is final, and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or other communications. Entries will be deemed void if illegitimate, forged, manipulated or tampered with in any way. 

(b) Should an Eligible Entrant’s contact details change during the Competition Period, it is the Eligible Entrant’s responsibility to notify the Promoter. A request to access or modify any information provided as part of the redemption of a Prize should be directed to the Promoter. The Promoter takes no responsibility where it is unable to contact Winners who have not provided correct or complete contact details. 

(c) The Promoter reserves the right to request verification of the Winner and any other information relevant to entry into or participation in this Competition. Verification is at the discretion of the Promoter, whose decision is final. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights does not constitute a waiver of those rights. 

(d) The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions, or who is involved in any way in interfering or tampering with the conduct of this Competition, has breached any of these terms and conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Competition. In the event that a Winner breaches these terms and conditions, the Winner will forfeit the Prize in whole and no substitute will be offered. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. 

(e) Winners may have rights under the Australian Consumer Law and other similar legislation which cannot be excluded, restricted or modified by the Promoter. These terms and conditions do not exclude, restrict or limit those statutory rights in any way. 

However, to the extent that it is permitted to do so, the Promoter, including its officers, employees and agents, excludes all liability whether arising in tort, including negligence, contract or otherwise for any personal injury or any other loss or damage, including loss of opportunity or loss of profits, whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Competition, including, without limitation: (i) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction whether or not under the Promoter’s control; (ii) any theft, unauthorized access or third-party interference; (iii) any entry that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected whether or not after receipt by the Promoter due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (iv) any variation in market value to that stated in these terms and conditions; (v) any tax implications; or (vi) the Prize or use of the Prize. 

(f) If for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter this Competition is not capable of running as planned, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to take any action that may be available to it, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition, unless to do so would be prohibited by law. 

(g) The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition or amend these terms and conditions, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority.
